TEHRAN - Steel Azin football club and Ali Karimi parted company by mutual consent on Monday.

Ali Karimi, popularly known as the “Wizard of Tehran”, left the team following a rift with noted veteran footballer Ali Parvin who is currently the chief manager of Steel Azin.
Karimi had played against AC Milan with his former club Al Ahli of the UAE without Steel Azin’s permission.
The 32-year-old midfielder will likely join his former club Persepolis for the second half of the Iran Professional League season
